Ni har väl inte missat att vi ska ha mer Blood on the Clocktower!? 2 datum dessutom! Den första sessionen är söndagen den 7/4 kl. 13:15, och den andra är måndagen den 15/4, kl. 17:15, både i iDét! Blood on the Clocktower är ett "Social Deduction Game", väldigt likt Werewolf, Mafia, Secret Hitler etc., där varje person har en roll med en unik förmåga. Även när man är död har man makten av att kunna vända spelet, man är inte ute bara för att man är död! Ljug genom era tänder, diskutera, avrätta, och mörda för att vinna! Spelet kan spelas från 5 spelare till 19 spelare, och speltiden är därför väldigt varierande beroende på antalet spelare (de kan gå allt från 20 minuter till 2 timmar). Man kan också hoppa in- och ut mitt i spelet, perfekt om du inte har tid för en hel session! Såklart får ni dra mer människor, och såklart erbjuds fika! Hello all D-guild members! In less than 3 weeks, all D-guilds in Sweden will be participating in holding a tournament, including a CS tournament on April 19th, a LoL tournament, and a Smash Bros tournament on April 20th. Actually, we D-sportare here in Lund are organizing the LoL tournament and we hope as many of you as possible will sign up. The tournaments will take place during the geekend!!!! All three tournaments will be played over just one day, with the CS and LoL tournaments starting at 20:00 on Friday and Saturday respectively, while the Smash Bros tournament starts at 13:00 on Saturday. If you don't want to play, feel free to drop by and watch the streams (more information about the streaming will be available on our channel or elsewhere later). In fact this time the D-guild will be participating in Sweden's largest LAN-party together with both other D-guilds and other student-organisations around the country. During the weekend on April 19 all places that are participating will be holding a local lan-party of their own! Do you know someone up in Luleå, Chalmers, or somewhere else? No problem! Are you considering submitting a motion to VTM? Wonderful! Here are some tips and information whether you're feeling lost or want to ensure your motion has the best chance of being approved at the meeting. Basic Information: Motions should be sent to ordforande@dsek.se no later than Tuesday, April 9th. Encouragement: Try to write the motion in a timely manner and submit it as soon as you feel it's ready. This allows the board to better plan our work, reducing the workload. However, it's more important that you submit a motion you're satisfied with than submitting it early, so focus on making it good! Sometimes, during the meeting, it can be difficult for members to understand what actually changes when only conditional clauses are altered. To assist your fellow d-sek members, you can look at how the student union does it. They take a copy of the document being amended, and mark up the copy, highlighting what should be removed in red, what has been changed or added in yellow, etc. If you include this with your motion, it becomes easier during the meeting to compare and see what has actually changed. Not sure how to write it? There's a tool to help you write your motion. Visit gerda.dsek.se and navigate to "motion." There, you can fill in your text in the appropriate fields, and your motion will be nicely formatted! If you're unsure about what typically goes into a motion, look through old motions! There are plenty on the website under the "meeting documents" tab, which you can review to understand how to formulate and structure your motion. Tips: The more well-crafted and clear your motion is, the easier it will be for the meeting to discuss it. Be prepared to answer questions. During the meeting, you'll be asked to present your motion, and then there will be an opportunity for questions. Try to be ready to explain your motion and why it's beneficial. Ask someone who knows! You can talk to the board, auditors, the strategic committee, or other experienced individuals who have written motions before. There are plenty of people who know how to craft a motion elegantly and clearly. We're here to help each other, so seek assistance! Just make sure the people you ask only assist with the wording and are not trying to change the essence of your motion! Lastly, your motion doesn't have to be perfect. Do the best you can, ask for help. If there are things that don't feel 100%, they can be discussed, and a good solution can be reached at the meeting. The most important thing is that you get to address what you want to change in the guild, because the guildis here for you.
